Find Help, Find Hope!

“NAMI Peer-to-Peer has allowed me to take the focus off my illness and learn to balance it with the rest of my life.”

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free class for people with mental health symptoms.

If you’re living with a mental health condition, join us for NAMI Peer-to-Peer, a free class for anyone who experiences mental health symptoms. You’ll learn more about dealing with mental health symptoms and work on practical ways to improve communication with healthcare providers, practice self-care and prevent relapse.

The course is designed for anyone experiencing mental health challenges who wants to achieve and maintain life in recovery.

The course is led by trained peer instructors who have personal, lived experience with a mental health condition.

Our instructors can understand what you’re going through because they’ve been there. Our trained instructors are also living with their own mental health conditions. They want to share their experience to help and support others.

“NAMI Peer-to-Peer is uplifting, life-saving and an eye-opening experience that changed how I see myself.”

What does the course cover?

Over the eight weeks of Peer-to-Peer, you’ll learn tips for coping with a mental health condition, working with healthcare providers, and create a personalized relapse prevention plan. You’ll learn about the biology of mental illnesses and the physical changes in the brain, discuss the benefits and challenges of medication, and also practice skills such as meditation, mindfulness, and learn tools for decision making. In addition to the course content, you’ll have a chance to meet others who are facing similar challenges and who understand.
